Shielded power cable Gigawatt LC-2 & LC-2 HC
Gigawatt LC-2 is an uncompromising power cable designed to power audio and video components of Hi-End class, and for working with accessories like power strips, filters and power line conditioners.
The cable is made from copper conductors of high purity, with a 9AWG cross section for each wire. A very big cross section of the cable allows for negligible resistance and practically unlimited energy flow. A special geometry of the cable wires, together with quite high intrinsic capacitance, stands for very good filtering and noise dampening qualities. The cable is shielded with a very tight, multilayer shield, covering 100% of its surface. This shield protects from external interference, effectively sending the parasite currents to the source – the wall socket and the ground. The shields construction does also not allow for internal noise to appear and spread.
The LC-2 cable is equipped in solid, high quality power plugs, with large contact surface, that provide reliable power transfer from the power grid. The connectors of the plugs were cryogenically treated and de-magnetized. In addition the connectors were coated galvanically, with a layer protecting from oxidation and lowering the connection resistance. In addition, the connectors were galvanically coated with a layer, used to prevent oxidation and lowering the impedance. All connections were made using cramped connections, what guarantees reliability and optimal performance.
The LC-2 cable is also available in a High Current version (LC-2HC) equipped with a PowerCon 32Amp plug. This plug is capable of 32A constant load, three times that allowed for an IEC plug. This cable in the LC-2HC version is a standard equipment of the Gigawatt PC-4 power line conditioner.
The Gigawatt LC-2 is a power cable, which extraordinary electrical parameters bring immediate improvement to the reproduced sound or picture. Refined and mature sound of the LC-2 is visible in extremely vivid and musical transmission, with solid bass founding, without any sharpening or artificially exposed details. Special attention was given to have the cable keep ideal balance between the sound spectrum sub-ranges. A clean, spacious and palpable sound is the main characteristic of the LC-2.
All Gigawatt products are subject to an insurance policy, that covers damage to the connected equipment up to 250 000 EUR.
