Gigawatt LC-1 is a high quality power cable designed to power audio and video components. It is the standard equipment of most Gigawatt products.
The cable is made from copper conductors of high purity, with a 11AWG cross section for each wire. Isolation is made from a special PVC, additionally reinforced with a black, plastic, abrasion resistant braiding. The cable is shielded with a very tight shield from tin coated copper, covering 95% of its surface. This shield protects from external interference, effectively sending the parasite currents to the source – the wall socket and the ground. The shields construction does also not allow for internal noise to appear and spread, and prevents the induction of differential currents in the wires, created by a magnetic field induced by the current flow in the shield.
The construction of the cable guarantees a reliable, not throttled by anything, current flow and does not allow for noise and oscillations to appear on its end. Very low impedance of the cable, a results of its cross-section, and the way the conductors are tightened to the plugs, allows for a big current reserve. On the other hand large cable capacitance, resulting from the cable geometry and used isolation materials, brings splendid filtering and damping effectiveness for a large spectrum of noise. Solid plugs, with large connector surface, guarantee reliable current flow from the power line to the powered unit. All connections are tightened, without the usage of solder, increasing reliability and allowing optimum performance. The connectors of the plugs are tightened to the connectors by means of hermetic, squeezed tight, metal tubes, which prevent the cables from oxidation.
