Power quality and protection

Distribution Bars

Most Gigawatt devices feature a novel current distribution system directly to the output sockets. It is based on massive distribution bars, made from thick slabs of copper, with a cross-section of 30mm2 each. The manufacturing of those bars is very cost consuming, due to the quality of copper that needs to be used, as well as the technology used for their production. Mechanical processing uses a technology that does not produce any heat, which could oxidize the copper and negatively influence the conduction parameters.

The usage of separate bars for each socket allows for an even and stable power dispersion, regardless of the actual load on every socket.

Bars

The flag conditioner Gigawatt PC-4 and the power strips PF-1 and PF-2 from the “Special Edition” limited series feature silver plated distribution bars. All types of the bars are a proprietary Gigawatt design and were developed and manufactured by Gigawatt.
