The PF-2 SE EVO+ power strip uses technologies and components found in our top-of-the-line conditioners. The power distribution system used in the PF-2 SE EVO+ is our own design. The massive distribution rails, made of polished high-purity cathode copper (Cu-ETP) bars, are coated with high-conductivity silver. They supply power directly to each pair of output sockets via crimped and twisted connections.
The internal wiring uses silver-plated OFC copper conductors with Teflon insulation.
The use of star connection topology, high conductivity, and a massive cross-section of 30 QMM for each busbar ensures even and stable power distribution regardless of the load on individual outlets.
The strip is equipped with six high-quality GigaWatt G-040 Schuko-type power sockets, designed and manufactured in-house. The brass contacts of the sockets have been factory-plated with silver without the use of intermediate metals such as copper or nickel, which could introduce unfavorable series resistance and voltage drop. The enlarged contact area and thick layer of silver guarantee reliable contact with the plug pins.
For effective child safety, G-040 sockets can be equipped with integrated shock protection covers (increased touch protection in accordance with VDE 0620). PF-2 EVO+ is also available with NEMA 5-20R mains sockets, used in North America and some Asian countries, and with Australian AS/NZS 3112 sockets.
All internal components of the strip are enclosed in a metal housing with a double chassis. It provides a perfectly sealed screen protecting the interior of the strip from RFI and EMI interference. The power strip is also equipped with an LED indicating correct operation of the device and a system indicating incorrect power supply polarity or faulty grounding.
An RLC filter block is responsible for suppressing interference. It is based on low-inductance metallized polyester capacitors and an IP (Iron Powder) filter core. The SE version uses reference Audio Grade capacitors manufactured by Miflex according to Gigawatt specifications.
The strip does not have traditional safety elements, such as fuse links or thermal fuses, which restrict the free flow of current to the protected circuits and have a negative impact on sound quality. Surge protection for the strip is provided by a cascade protection system consisting of plasma spark gaps and a new generation of UltraMOV varistors. These components, working in conjunction with a properly installed, modern electrical system, guarantee comprehensive protection against surges and overcurrents.
The PF-2 SE EVO+ power strip is equipped with a PowerSync ULTRA power cord or a silver-plated LS-1 EVO+ cord.
A distinctive feature of the PF-2 SE EVO+ is its housing finished with gray, textured powder coating.
